Ross Fund Acquisitions

Upon his death, Professor Marion D. Ross left the Department of the History of Art and Architecture an endowment of $1.2 million to increase the library's architectural holdings and to create an endowed professorship, the Marion D. Ross Distinguished Chair in Architectural History. When it was announced in 1992, it was the largest architectural history library endowment in the nation. Since, it has enabled the acquisition of more than 1300 unique and rare items (such as original editions, rare or out-of-print monographs, and architectural drawings) for study, teaching, and research.
